Our household includes a happy baby, sprawling and beloved animals (cats, dogs, chickens, snake, spider and hamster), and a whole lot of heart. One of us stays home full-time with our daughter; the other works from a separate on-property space most days.We eat clean, live chemical-free, and approach life with an open, spiritual mindset. Our home reflects who we are — warm, earthy, and full of life — and we take pride in the systems and rhythms we've built to keep it running well. We have strong systems in place to help create a calm energy throughout the house and look forward to maintaining those. We are looking for someone who thrives working independently, brings focus and positive energy to the space, and genuinely loves what they do. The right person won't need to be managed — they'll arrive, assess, and get to work, making our home hum without us having to think about it. This is a household that values quiet competence, accountability, and a deep respect for boundaries. We want our home in great hands so we can be fully present for the moments that matter most.Who You Are / What We're Looking ForYou are a professional by nature — punctual, detail-oriented, and quietly excellent at what you do. You don't wait to be told what needs doing; you notice and handle it. You are an introvert at heart, or at the very least someone who understands the value of professional boundaries in a private home. You show up, do the work, and give the family the space to simply enjoy their day to day routines. You are an animal lover through and through. Not just comfortable with pets — genuinely delighted by them, even the unique ones. You're the kind of person who considers caring for animals a privilege, not a chore.Comfort and ease around babies and children is important to us. While this role does not currently include direct childcare, we're excited about the possibility of growing our family in the near future. We'd love to welcome someone into our home who genuinely enjoys children and would be happy to be part of our household as our family grows and evolves. You communicate clearly and directly, take feedback as a gift, and follow through on what you say you'll do. You are health-conscious and aligned with a clean, organic, intentional lifestyle. You are open-minded and comfortable in a spiritually expressive home environment. You don't need constant direction, check-ins, or hand-holding — you take ownership and bring pride to your work.Key ResponsibilitiesInventory & ErrandsShop for groceries at designated organic and specialty storesRestock pantry, fridge, and household supplies; monitor and rotate expiration datesManage running household supply lists; flag what's low and keep the home fully stockedComplete pet supply runs, including bulk cat litter and live feeder insectsHandle returns (Amazon, etc.), mail, and package intakeBreak down boxes and transport recyclables to the drop-off location in town using the family vehicleMeal SupportPrepare simple lunches and dinners following recipes provided by the family; three to four meals a weekCook in double batches to ensure leftovers are availablePrepare baby purees and nourishing meat stock using provided recipesClean up and maintain the kitchen after cookingHousehold Organization & MaintenanceMaintain existing household organization systems established by the family's professional organizerComplete daily resets of main living areas: kitchen, living room, laundry roomPerform light tidying throughout the home: dishes, surfaces, vacuuming high-traffic areasPrepare the home before weekly cleaner visitsAssist with homemade cleaning supply preparation (family uses their own formulas)Coordinate and drop off donationsTrack and replace batteries, light bulbs, and smoke detectors as neededCare for indoor plantsFreshen up entryways, mudroom, and garage as neededDeep Cleaning & Special ProjectsPerform occasional deep cleaning of the fridge, oven, and baseboardsClean humidifiers and air purifiers monthlyAssist with organizational projects (lifting, carrying, rotating items)Laundry & LinensFold and put away laundry (family handles washing)Rotate linens: change and refresh sheets and towelsMaintain a tidy and well-stocked laundry roomPet CareAssist with cat litter cleaning during each shiftAssist with animal feeding as needed during shifts (dinner typically around 3:00–3:30 PM)Assist with seasonal cleaning and maintenance of animal tanks (tarantula, hamster, snake) as neededAssist with seasonal chicken coop tasks alongside the familySchedule and coordinate veterinary and grooming appointments; transport pets as needed (can use family truck)Maintain pet supply inventoryOccasional help with house and pet sitting for all animalsVehicle UpkeepSchedule routine maintenance as needed (oil changes, tire rotations)Personal Assistant TasksScheduling appointmentsHow to ApplyPlease send the following to Sage Haus:Please submit a short intro letter telling us about yourself and why this role is a great fit, an updated resume, and three professional references with contact information.
